Refractory Mixes and Cements
Working alongside our range of crucibles, transfer ladles and special refractory shapes, Magna Industrials Ltd has developed and produced a number of individual refractory mixes to enhance and assure quality control.
These products include:
Mipex
A carefully formulated Magnesia Spinel material to be used as a dry powder packing around induction melting crucibles and transfer ladles
Zirconia Backing Mix
A graded dry zirconia powder for packing around zirconia crucibles in a vacuum furnace application.
Magnatop
A castable topping mix to be used to retain packing powder around induction crucibles. Supplied dry, add water to suit.
Magnamal 2
An air setting high purity alumina topping material to be used to retain packing powder around induction crucibles. Supplied wet ready for use.
MC90
A hydraulic setting alumina cement for easy trowelling or casting between and around coil turns of induction heating coils.
Magnamal 4
A chrome alumina air setting cement ideal to form spouts or troughs in tundishes. Can also be used for furnace linings.
Magnacote
High alumina cement for the use of strengthening investment casting shells as a shell patch. Supplied wet ready for use.
